Lancome La Vie est Belle & Victor&Rolf Flowerbomb Mini

Aww got this miniature bottle of Flowerbomb at Sephora today for 100 points. It is so cute!

It's too bad most minis don't come with a sprayer... I do not like contaminating the fragrance with my skin cells when dabbing. The fragrance also smells different than if it were sprayed. I will decant my minis into spray vials once I get them. I ordered ten from eBay for really cheap.. That way I'll actually use my minis! ;)

Today, I tried my sample of Lancome La Vie est Belle... Opening was similar to Flowerbomb but had an odd pear/black current note which I wasn't a fan of. The scent got sweeter and sweeter-- very much like that of candied flowers. Twenty minutes later, it smelled like warm hotcakes and syrup. Very gourmand! But I find it to be too linear and common for my liking. Good thing this sample will last me a while! Just a teeny tiny spray and I smelled it all day. ;)

Seeing that most reviews compare this fragrance to Flowerbomb, I will have to test and review Flowerbomb soon. As soon as those spray vials come. Can't wait <3

Thierry Mugler Alien Sunessence Or d'Ambre Review

Wow, it just shows that awesome reviews do not mean that a fragrance will be awesome on everyone. You just got to try something before buying it! This was the case for me for Thierry Mugler Alien Or d'Ambre.

I used just two sprays and boy was it stinky at first spray! Sharp, acidic kiwi swirled with potent jasmine. It just wasn't a pleasant combination! The kiwi note was sour and not a yummy, juicy kiwi but more like a spoiled one :( It does not help that I do not like the scent of jasmine! A light jasmine note would be ok but this was too heavy! The reviews indicated that the jasmine note is not detectable, but on my skin it was very prominent.

A while later, I got the most excruciating headache. One of the worst headaches I had in a while. Even two tablets of Advil was not helping. It was the first time a perfume made me feel so sick that I nearly threw up. I had to scrub off the remnants of smell off my wrists...

Well, today I tried it again to give it a second chance. Used just one spray, and no headache, but I still just do not like the jasmine note which just never goes away. Even after the drydown, which I found tolerable and similar to Chanel 5 Eau Premiere, just had a bit too much jasmine for my liking.

So I will be returning this. Unfortunate because the price was soo good but still do not want a huge bottle of perfume that I find irritating.

The bottle is beautiful though! But it is not pink at the top like the photos in the ads :( It's really hard to spray, too-- there's a tiny flat square you press. I think the sprayer might be broken actually because a jet of perfume comes out.

Crackle Nails

Hello! I'm back!! And bought a whole lot of nail polish including the Sally Hansen Crackle polishes in black, violet, and gold. Also bought Sally Hansen xtreme wear polishes in mint, lilac, and pastel yellow :) The nail polishes are quite affordable at Walmart and Target. Crackle polishes were only around $6. I also found out that each Target has different prices. I bought the xtreme polishes at one Target for $2.74 but another Target sold them for $2.04. Fortunately, the second Target adjusted the price for me:)

Made today's look using mint, lilac, and gold crackle polish.

First, I applied a base coat then painted half my nails mint and half lilac, alternating which sides I put the color on for each nail. Then applied a layer of top coat as I found out the crackle does not work well if I don't do this before applying it. Then applied gold crackle. Lastly, sealed all my nails using Sally Hansen mega shine top coat! I really like this look :) I like having dual colors under the crackle for a rainbowy effect:) I think it's cute for the summer!

[Review] Melliesh Lip Gloss

My favorite lip gloss ever!!! Melliesh Lip Gloss in 03. It's the PERFECT nude color!

I use this one daily. It goes well with colorful eyemakeup when you don't want your lips to stand out too much. It's perfect for the Japanese pale lips trend when putting it on top of a lip concealer. For me, I dab on a tiny bit of  the Candy Doll lip concealer and apply this on top. It creates the best pale nudy lips! A light beigy peachy color :D

The gloss also already contains concealer! So it actually lightens up your lips even if you don't apply lip concealer. But my lips are especially pigmented so I use lip concealer beforehand.

I just dab a bit of the gloss on my lip and pat it with my fingers! ^^ It's not sticky which I love. I hate sticky lip glosses. It also has no fragrance or stinging sensation. Love this. After I use up all my lip glosses, I'm only buying this from now on ^^

DIY Magnetic Palette Under $10!

HI! Well I bought a Unii Palette ($29) and kinda regretted it because it's so expensive!!! Whatever, I think it's still good for traveling though! I bought it basically just for the mirror. The mirror definitely will come in handy when traveling when I don't want to do my makeup in the bathroom (Which I don't like doing unless the hotel is 5 stars xD) I considered buying the Z-Palette or MAC Pro Palette, but remembering my last post to not buy anything, I decided to make my own DIY palette using cheap items I got at the dollar store and other stuff I already had at home!

I watched a lot of Youtube videos and read blogs on how to make one. Most people used DVD cases or CD cases. To be honest, I found that a bit... ghetto ^^ SO I decided not to use those things. I used an old air freshener container I found instead. HAHA i guess that's pretty ghetto too but this air freshener is really nice you'll see ;)

First I depotted most of my makeup. OMG. All Japanese cosmetics have a HOLE at the bottom. This makes depotting so simple! All I have to do is find that hole (it's usually under the label/sticker), then I poke it with my small scissors and voila! Out comes the pan!!! Easy! For my NYX Trio eyeshadows I nearly burned down my kitchen since I had to use candles. The smell of burning plastic was awful and I swear I don't want to go through that again. I love Japanese cosmetics that make depotting so so easy! Buying Japanese cosmetics from now on :)

Depotted Japanese makeup! Minus the small circular white one and bottom right. That's a b-day eyeshadow from Sephora and Boots Blush! :]
